Please read this story to learn more about where Coco went and the vital work she will be doing- HERE
Coco found her forever home and place in life and we could not be happier about that. Not only is she going to the most amazing woman and her family- she will have a very special job for the rest of her days, where she helps heal women and children who have been through trauma. Below you will find more details about coco’s new calling! We cannot really say Coco was “SOLD” – it’s more like, Coco was “welcomed to the team!” And we love that for her so much!
In the words of Coco’s new mom…
At Wholehearted Herd Counseling, Coco will help women, children, and families overcome relational trauma. That may be a foster child in need of her warmth and attention. An adoptive mom who is learning to attune to her own energy to parent a highly sensitive child. Or a woman overcoming a history of abuse through riding Coco and sharing about her story while being held in the rhythmic beat of her walk. Wholehearted Herd Counseling’s vision is to see Horses joining with clients on a journey of hope and healing through connected relationships with self, others, and God that provides a legacy of wholehearted relationships in families.

A note to all of you who love Coco..
It was all the little moments with you, where Coco helped so many overcome their fears around horses while at NK Equine, that truly made her the perfect horse for her new calling. She will be changing lives because YOU trusted her to take care of YOU first. She learned how to be sensitive and patient. You all have extended a trust to Coco that she proudly earned, and we are grateful to everyone who placed their confidence in her.
Her new hu-MOM wants you to know that if you are ever three hours north and would like to see Coco, you are more than welcome to reach out to see if your schedules align! You can also follow her journey on her website and social media for updates on this beautiful mare who helped so many move past their fears and become true horse lovers.
Thank YOU again for being such an important part of her story.

Cleo’s Coco is officially offered for consideration.
Coco is the personal horse of one of NK Equines owners and trainers. Hand-selected after a years-long search by a qualified professional looking for the perfect personal mount, she has more than exceeded every expectation. The decision to offer her for sale comes after months of heavy deliberation. With the owner shifting disciplines and specialties, the goal is simply to find this magnificent mare a home where her incredible talent and potential will be fully utilized.
The Details
Breed: Tennessee Walking Horse
Age: 10 Years Old
Height: 15.3 HH
Color: Rare, stunning Liver Chestnut
Disciplines & Talents
Coco is an absolute trail rider’s dream, but her versatility doesn’t stop there. She has the talent and foundation to succeed in English or Western disciplines, roping, or cattle sorting. On the trail, she is truly bombproof, completely traffic-safe, confident crossing water and bridges, and possesses a wonderful, willing attitude. She truly does anything asked of her.
Training & Quirks
In the interest of full transparency, we believe every horse has areas for continued growth. Here is what we are currently working on with Coco:
Herd Attachment: While not strictly “buddy sour,” she does get a bit anxious when first separated from her herd mates. Most horses do. She may whinny and look back initially, but she settles down quickly and rides off alone without issue.
Tying: Stemming from her herd attachment, she will occasionally paw when tied alone for extended periods. A quick correction typically stops the behavior immediately.
Outside of these minor things, Coco has no vices. She loads beautifully right onto a small two-horse straight load and stands quietly.
Contact Us
It is a rare occasion that we let one of our personal horses go. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this incredible mare to your barn.
Call or text today to schedule a time to meet and ride Coco!
We even let a super beginner who knows NOTHING about riding or horses go trail ride on her a few times (don’t worry, we were also on the ride, guiding this person the whole time to be sure the horse was okay). Granted, this person was just a passenger versus actually riding per se, but sweet Cleo took care of this individual who was doing EVERYTHING wrong. Rather than get agitated and act up, like most horses would have, Cleo kept her cool. This mare is as patient as they come!
