At NK Equine, our mission has always gone far beyond simply matching people with horses. Anyone in the industry will tell you that horse sales can be fast-paced, transactional, and sometimes rushed. But for us—Noelle and Kara—that has never been the goal.

We are fiercely transparent. We take pride in doing our absolute best to match the right horse to the right human for the right reasons. Because of that standard, we have walked away from—and outright refused—many potential sales when a buyer’s impulse didn’t align with a horse’s true needs.

However, when the stars align, when it all comes together effortlessly, and when it becomes crystal clear that a horse was meant to find a very specific human, it is nothing short of magical.

Justine owns Wholehearted Herd Counseling, a counseling business dedicated to equine-assisted rehabilitation for individuals who have walked through deep trauma. She understands the profound, grounding impact that horses can have on a human heart that is learning how to heal.

When Coco came to us, we knew instantly that this mare was made for something extraordinary. Her gentle spirit and intuitive nature radiated a deep sense of purpose.

Recognizing that unique calling, Noelle and Kara collectively made the decision to hold Coco. We wanted to give Justine the space and time to make the three-hour journey to see her—completely without pressure, and with zero obligation to purchase.

A Connection Written in the Stars

Justine’s journey to this moment had not been easy. She had suffered the devastating loss of two beloved horses within a single year. When she arrived, her heart was heavy with emotion and grief.

What happened next took our breath away. As Justine interacted with Coco, the mare began displaying the exact traits and subtle mannerisms of both of the horses Justine had lost—bringing a profound sense of comfort to fill a void she never thought could be mended.

As we watched them together, multiple signs assured us that Coco wasn’t just a horse for sale; she was born to be with Justine, destined to stand beside her and do vital, life-changing work for the rest of her days.
