The Ultimate Trail Companion: He is a weekend camping dream. Duke confidently goes through water, crosses bridges, and is completely traffic-safe. He will tie without a fuss until you untie him.
Zero Bad Habits: Absolutely no buck, rear, or bolt. He stands perfectly still for tacking, mounting, and dismounting.

📝 THE FULL PICTURE (The “Cons”)
We believe in 100% transparency so Duke finds the perfect match:
Low in the Herd Dynamic: Duke is a lover, not a fighter. He will even let young mares run him off his feed in the pasture, so he simply needs to be fed slightly apart from the herd so he can eat in peace.
Solo Trail Confidence: When riding out entirely alone, he can occasionally lack confidence- not always- just now and then. He doesn’t do anything dangerous or scary; he just gets a little distracted looking around and might whinny for his friends. A little reassurance, gentle leg pressure, and a confident leader are all it takes to keep him moving happily along.
“Too Friendly” (If there is such a thing!): If you are in a mad rush, Duke might slow you down because he wants pets and attention every single time you walk past him. We absolutely love this about him, and he routinely hangs out loose on our 10-acre parcel just grazing wherever we are working on the farm.
💔 A Note From His Owners
Duke is a truly special soul, and we are going to miss him terribly. We currently keep our horses on dry lots, but Duke is accustomed to a little green pasture, which he thoroughly enjoys. A good home is an absolute must for this sweet boy.
